Rhett, FC/AFC/Can FC/AFC Someday?s On the Edge made Gordon Setter history for the second time when he won the Amateur Limited Gun Dog stake at the Williamette Weimaraner trial August 9th to finish his Amateur Field Championship.  Rhett became the first Gordon Setter in history to attain both his Open and Amateur field championships in both the U.S. and Canada.  He made history the first time on September 11,, 2011 (his fifth birthday) when he finished his Amateur title in Canada. He had already achieved his field championships in the U.S. and Canada prior to that date.

Rhett was recently named the Gordon Setter Club of America?s Gun Dog of 2013. This award is based on points earned by the number of dogs defeated at field trials during the year.  Rhett ?s other achievements include being the Gordon Setter of the Year in the Northwest for four straight years, runnerup in the Canadian Chukar Championship, and being in the Top Ten rankings of all dogs competing in field trials in Canada last year and in 2011.

Rhett is owned by Amy and George Lutz and was handled to his Amateur title by George.

The Club wishes a big congratulations to George and Amy on their fantastic year with Rhett!
